Crayon Project

Crayons!
This simple project cost me $2.00 &  It was super simple
I wanted to make big chunky crayons for Owen to color with so I tried out this project that I saw on Pinterest
Ya start with a box of crayons, peel the paper off

Break them up and put them in a lil muffin tin

Pop them in a 250 degree oven for 15-20 minutes

Then ya wait...

Once they are all melty you pop them in the freezer for a spell

Once they are frozen they will slide right on out of the muffin tin.
There ya have it! Big ol crayons for little bitty fingers!

Juicing

We juiced!
We watched this movie and were really inspired to give juicing a try!
We wanted to lose some weight, detox our bodies and change up our eating habits to more healthy, natural whole foods.
We set out for a 10 day juice fast, but only made it 8 (which was really good!)

I loved juicing! Your stomach gets shrinked back to the size it should me, you don't feel bloated and you start to feel great!

Jeff lost 16 pounds and I lost 8!

For the first time in a long time, I feel way better in my own skin. My clothes are fitting better and I'm looking forward to better eating/exercise habits!

We plan to incorporate juicing into our every day life by replacing one meal with juice! Owen even loves juice too!

I love knowing that we are filling our bodies with tons of fruits and vegetables!

We have been eating food now for 2 days and it has been great! It barely takes anything to fill me up, and I'm filling up with lots of healthy food! I also started exercising and am hoping to drop 10-15 more pounds!

YAY for healthy living!!

Father's Day

I am so beyond in love with this man! He is truly one of the most incredible gifts the Lord has ever given me.Watching him become a father has been a amazing!
I am so thankful for the man, husband, father and friend that Jeff is! He works so hard everyday to provide for us and then comes home, to love on us and be with us!

I could never imagine going through this parenthood journey with anyone else! We make a pretty awesome team with him as our head!

I love that Owen is absolutely smitten over his "Dada" He wakes up every morning saying "dada dada" No one can make Owen giggle and laugh like Jeff.

Watching them play together always melts my heart, and causes me to feel full of thankfulness, for this man that God has given me to be the father to our son!

Thank you honey for all that you do!

I appreciate you and love you more than anything!

I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us and hopefully more babies!

We love you so much Jeff! I wish I could give you so much more to show you how much I love and appreciate you, but hopefully a easy relaxing day filled with juice (YAY! ;) ) church, naps, parks, salads, frozen yogurt and cigars will do!

Happy Father's Day sweet man!

Berry Pickin

This past week we went blue berry picking with the Moms Group at Lambs! It was super fun! If you are in the area definitely check it out here
We went early to try and beat the heat, and I was glad because it has been pretty warm!

Owen wasn't much of a berry picker, her preferred to sit in the wood chips and play with sticks! That was OK because I picked us a big ol bucket of berries!

Debbie and Taylor came along for some berry picking too!

It was fun to see all of the kiddos picking berries! We berry picked with Iz, Captain, Caleb, Zoe, Bennett, John-Paul and Paisley, it was a fun little group!

The place was super cute! It had a big barn, and lots of buckets to choose from and fill with berries! There was a chicken coupe, a tractor and a hay spot where they did story time! Definitely a kid friendly place!

We all had a great time! It is always nice to find neat things to do locally! The berries were delicious too!!

Mammoth

Ricky Retardo posted this on my old blog.
DERRR.
Last weekend we were able to take a long weekend trip to Mammoth! We started our 6 hour drive on Thursday to meet Jeff's parents up at a condo they got for the week!
I'm happy to report Owen did great on the drive! A few little fusses here and there but overall he did great! We borrowed a travel DVD player and that seemed to help too! Thanks Milo & Otis and Cars!

This was my first trip to Mammoth! Jeff was so excited to bring me because this is a place that he came to as kid many, many times! It was so beautiful, to say the least! This was the view from outside of our bedroom window :) The condo was awesome too! Nestled right in the Sierra Forest!

These were the condos we stayed in with the mountains in the background, breath taking!

Mammoth is filled with mom and pop shops, and privately owned places! I love that! It is so nice to get away from chains and support local businesses! We went to this awesome coffee shop called Java Joint! They had yummy coffee, yarn, handmade headbands, bags and all sort of goodies! It was definitely my kind of place!  They even had the international nursing sign in the window letting nursing moms know they can come on in and whip it out ;)

We loved spending time with Jeff's parents! It was fun to just sit around, laugh, talk and explore Mammoth. Owen LOVES his Gran! They always have the best of times together!

There was an awesome little park right next to our Condo, we walked there to let Owen get out some energy!
This is the condo we stayed in the corner on the bottom! There is Jim and Debbie walking back, they celebrated 32 years of marriage!! That is pretty awesome!!

Jeff got to fish it up for sure!! He caught SO many fish!

We also got to check out a fault line! It was pretty crazy, it was literally a huge crack in the earth!

Owen LOVES being outside so everything about this trip was awesome for him! He picked up sticks, and pine cones played in the dirt and got a ton of fresh air!

We explored the lakes and took int he beauty! That is a waterfall running down into the lake, it was breath taking! I just wanted to sing worship songs and praise God for the beautiful creation!

Here we are at the top of the waterfall! SO gorgeous!

We wanted to take the Gondola up to the top of the mountain to check out the views, but it was just way too windy!! I am just a BIG OL KID! Trying to look like Superman flying! It was so dang windy, I could barely stand up straight!

Jeff and I got to sneak away on a bike date to Looney Bean, another coffee place! It too was delicious!! It was nice to talk with my man and enjoy the mountain fresh air together! I miss bike dates, we did it alot in Seattle, its nice to live in a bike friendly placwe!

We ate breakfast one morning at The Stove! The cutest, coziest breakfast place! The food was pretty yummy too!

Debbie and I checked out lots of shops, and let Owen play while the boys fished most of the trip! Owen got to meet the Fire Engine dog (I just typed dong instead of dog, I laughed... thought I would let whoever reads this know so they might laugh too!! dong... hilarious) He got an awesome Fire Engine tattoo too that we helped him put on his arm :)

Jeff took me fishing for some Trout, I didnt catch one, but I learned why people like to fish, it really is relaxing!

The last night we went to Black Velvet Coffee Roasters it was seriously one of the best Vanilla Lattes I have had since Seattle! It was up there with Vivace for me in my book! SO SO SO SO GOOOOOOD!!
Jeff surprised me the next morning and grabbed me a bag of their espresso for me to bring home! It's been so yummy to drink!

We loved Mammoth! We hope to continue the tradition from Jeff's childhood and take our kids once a year! We feel so blessed that we were able to get away for a few days and enjoy the great outdoors!
