Feist

Another HUGE bucket list check off for me! I seem like such a busy lady, but really I'm not, it just so happened that Bon Iver and FEIST were just one week apart!
You read it right, I got to see Feist this past weekend! She is my number one of all time most favorite artist!
Jen, Lexy and I packed our bags for an overnight trip to Phoenix!
We headed off at 6am Sunday morning and made the 5 hour drive to the dessert
It was actually a pretty gorgeous drive it being morning and all.
we were sure to stop for some pictures!

Nothing like being squished with your gal pals in the car.
It was nice to catch up on life, share stories and laugh our butts right off!

When we got to Phoenix it was HOT! like bake in an oven hot. like dry hot. like skin is burning off hot.
which made this fancy pool at the hotel an awesome treat!
After lunch at a yummy greek spot, we hit the pool to take a dip and lay out for a bit before the concert!
It was some much needed R&R for this busy momma!

After we all got dressed up we headed to get some coffee and then to the Orpheum Theater.
I had no expectations on what it would be like, but it was absolutely beautiful!
I felt like I was in Beauty and the Best! It was like a castle!

I should have taken a picture of the bathroom, there was a fancy sitting area and vanities to touch up!

GORGEOUS!! Our seats were AMAZING!!
After watching Timber Timbre open we were ready and anxious for Feist!

Feist is the cutest thing ever! She is such a tiny little lady with a beautifully powerful voice!
Her back up singers were so good too, and they did little dance moves, all I kept thinking was I could do that!! hahahahaha watch out Feist imma audition for ya!
bahahhahhaahah

If you have not heard her new album, you are missing out. It is so so so so so good!
She did do a few old songs too, like a version of Mushaboom that I have never heard!
It was awesome!

The show ended around 11 and it was still 100 degrees outside! SHEESSSHHH
I was so thankful for my town, we may have hot days, but I love summer nights! It cools down enough to still be in your shorts but a cool breeze, this was like being in an oven
all. day. long.
good to get some perspective hah!

It was nice to see my sister too for a good time!
She is really busy these days tattooing and all so I don't get to see her much.
Sleepover party!!
we laughed until our bellies hurt, or we peed a little
:)

We got to see some beautiful things too along the way!
I had so much fun with my friends, I loved being able to set aside schedules and business to have some pure, uninterrupted friend time!
Makes you appreciate it more when its not so often!

We had such a fun trip! Thanks Lexy and Jen, love you ladies so dang much! Thankful for your friendship!

It was nice to get away for a night, but I definitely missed my guys!
It's strange how life changes and being without your family, even for a night, really gets to ya!
I was happy to come home to my man and my squishy little boy!

Bon Iver

It has been a month of bucket list check offs for this girl!!
A couple of months ago I heard that Bon Iver was going to be in town, I have been a fan since 2008 and absolutely love their music! When I went to try to grab some tickets it was totally sold out!
My sweet friend Ashton had posted on IG saying that she was going to see her cousin who is in Bon Iver. What the what?!? Hold the phone!!!
I asked her about it and turns out Sean Carey who is the percussionist and back up vocals is her 2nd cousin.
Her and her family were going to see them, and she said she would try to get me a ticket! Well turns out she DID! Seriously though, it was the best show I have ever been to! You know when you really love a musician and it just never sounds the same live? Well they sound just as good if not better live! Amazing!

I had so much fun with Ashton and her family, we had awesome balcony seats and pit bands if we wanted to try to get up close to the stage, which we did but it was NUTS and I really loved the view I had from up top!

We also got Aftershow passes!! When the show was over the security was kicking everyone out of the venue but because we had these little babies, we got to go take a ride in an elevator up to the Roof Top Bar... hey hey!!!
The entire band was up the hanging out!
I was trying not to be a weird googly groupie, but I was so excited!
Sean came right over and talked to us for awhile, he was so nice!

There we are lookin all famous! hahahhahah
I didnt get to meet Justin Vernon, the main guy but Ashton's aunt snapped a sneaky stalker shot, he is the one in the blue hat! hahahhahahah
so hilarious!

It was wonderful, I am beyond thankful for Ashton getting me in on this little adventure! It was so stinking awesome!!

Pretend City

The other week we headed out to Pretend City with our MOM'S Group! It was seriously little kid heaven! It's in Irvine, so it's a bit of a drive but I didn't mind a bit, we go out there so much to see my cousin that heading out there for this was a breeze!
The whole place is a huge city for kids, there is a grocery store, a restaurant, a beach, a garden, a fire station, a gas station and all kinds of little cars for the kids to ride around on all over the little streets!
Owen loved running around and checking out everything!!
I definitely got my work out in!

He is such a little boy now I cant believe how big he is!!

He loves cars so any car he can find he drives around!

I had two moms join us, Jenifer with her little cutie Ava and Bre with her two little guys! All of the kids had a blast!

This place is awesome, if you haven't been you should definitely check it out!!

Easter

Easter was so much fun!! Such an amazing time to reflect on my salvation and what it means to me, and to see the fruit of God's love, grace and forgiveness in my life.
I am constantly thankful and in awe of this life God has restored!
I got to make Owen's first Easter prize!! I love collecting things here and there and then putting it all together! He loved it too, he thought it was awesome his bucket full of new prizes!

Daddy was showing him his new board book Bible stories. Lately Owen has been loving books! He brings me books and gives me a look like he is thinking "Come on mom, read it!" I love that he is loving books!

After our fun morning we got dressed and headed to church.
It's crazy the things God has been doing in our life! He has been bringing us opportunities to share our story of His love and grace in our lives! We were able to share with the church on Easter morning. It was hard, because there were so many people, but so freeing in being completely open and honest. It was awesome to see after how God used it to touch so many people!

After church we headed to my moms for a BBQ
Owen was spoiled again with more Easter prizes!

We love hanging out with my brothers and sisters it is a constant belly laugh of a time!! I mean look at all of there faces!!!

The weekend that followed Easter we spent with Jeff's family doing a post-easter celebration! It was so fun because Jolene and Ken were down from Oregon. I loved spending time with her, we always have such a good time!

We had lunch at Jeff's parents house and then everyone headed down the street to our house for some dessert! It was so awesome having so many people in our little cottage!! I LOVED it!

It was awesome to see how many people we could fit on our couch! I thought it worked out nicely, we can host a big crowd as long as they don't mind being up close and personal :)
I am really thankful that I have such awesome in-laws!
I feel like not many people can say that, and I am thankful I can!

Full driveway. Full house. Full heart.
YAY

Angels Game

We love, love, love us some baseball! Baseball season is our favorite time of the year! We love going to games, soaking up sun, eating a hot dog and enjoying a game!
My family (moms side) are crazy Angel fans, and my dad and step mom love the Redsox.
We choose to support local :)
Go Angels!
My mom and step dad took us all to an Angels game for Easter! It was so much fun, one, because it was Owen's very first Major League game, and two because there is nothing better than enjoying a game with family!

Nana and Grandpa spoil  this kid!! He is totally dialed in with Angels gear! He even has a legit jersey!!

I was so surprised that Owen kept his hat on ALL day! When I first put it on he tries to take it off, but i keep his hands  away from his head for a minute or two and then he forgets about it! It was great too, because it was really sunny in our section! We did probably 20 rounds of sun screen and stood in the shade quite a bit!

Owen did great at the Big A!
He loved hearing everyone clapping and cheering and joined in himself!
He danced and pointed and just loved it!!

I think I look like the girlfriend from Water Boy the movie... I look terrible in hats but I had to represent!

Grandpa LOVES his Owen and loves showing Owen everything he needs to know about the game! I cannot wait for little league one day!! I hope Owen wants to play! It's my dream in life to have a brood of boys who love  baseball! I would love going to games, having a stinky car afterwards and team parties at our house!! YAY!!

I was so glad BOTH of my sisters were able to come too! It's hard these days with everyone's work schedules to plan things where everyone can come

Look at my big boy soaking it up!!

And then there is Seana, does she ever take a bad picture? I  mean really sister, your making me look like a pound of meatloaf!! bahahahahah I love them both, they are so gorgeous!!
I'm getting old.

This is what happens when we get together. never fails.
never.

We were able to grab dinner after and enjoyed laughing and joking and bringing up hilarious stories from our childhood. I am seriously so blessed with my crazy-loud but totally loving family!

He was tuckered out at the end of the day!
